  • To succeed in any EMS school, you need the best resources possible. Long gone are the days of just writing something done once and remembering it all.

At EMS Aware, we specifically recommend the following:

Quizlet.com - With new features added constantly, Quizlet is one of the best resources for creating flashcards and quizzing yourself to retain information. In addition, there are a ton of premade decks available for all levels of EMS licensure!

Anki - This is a computer program with both desktop and mobile versions. Using the research behind spaced repition, Anki is one of the most effective (and complex) study tools available. Users are free to create their own cards and study them with Anki’s own automated scheduling system to ensure best retention.

Life in the Fast Lane - Life in the Fast Lane is a medic student’s best friend when it comes to critical care medicine and EKGs. LIFTL offers insightful articles on EKG interpretation, the pathophysiology behind disorders and ailments, and is regularly updated with best management practices. https://litfl.com/

Word Processing/Storage Options - There are several great options for this, but it’s essential for any student. Staying organized is half the battle when it comes to studying and retaining information. The best options for this include Google Drive + Docs, Microsoft OneNote, and EverNote are all great options, but whatever works best for you is ultimately the best.

MyHomeworkApp - A great organizer for managing timelines and assignment due dates. https://myhomeworkapp.com/login

  • Fisdap Paramedic Study Tools - A website with some of the most rigorous EMS study tools available. Fisdap totes an extremely high first time pass rate for students that succeed with their testing tools.
